I did This series of paintings to refine my talents, release pent up energy from quarantine.. As a tribute to MJ because he’s one of my biggest inspirations.

Each one of them has a different story and lesson behind it. Based on what I’ve learned about Mj from one of his mentors Tim Grover, who attributed to his Success.

This painting “The Zone” symbolizes his relentless focus in The Zone.

“Michael would shut down everything outside of basketball and just train.” Grover explained in an interview with Basketball Network. “Three workouts a day: workout, golf break, workout, lunch, golf break, workout, dinner, bed. Every day. No commercial shoots, no promotional tours, no events. Just work.”

I painted Jordan in the limelight with his back facing the viewer of the canvas. Because when Jordan was in the zone he didn’t pay attention to the lights, cameras, or critics. And he damn sure didn’t pay attention to those situations, people, and incidents that were behind him. (The past)
